What motivated you to become a designer?
I’ve always sought to understand how things are designed, built, and ultimately work. Studying geology as an undergrad satisfied my curiosity about how the earth works, and provided a global perspective of scale, time, and human impact. I studied architecture to satisfy the same curiosity, but at a smaller scale…soon realizing our impact as designers has the potential to have the same global impact.
