It is with great pleasure we welcome Jess Smith to the Bergmeyer family. Jess brings a depth of experience in human resources and a special personal touch to her interactions.
Jess Smith, Director of Human Resources and Administration, is a veteran of the Boston design community and is right at home supporting the ever-changing creative workplace and its professionals. She has recruited, hired, reviewed, and coached hundreds of architects and interior designers and brings a deep understanding of what both motivates and challenges them. Jess believes work in the 21st century has new rules and understanding what drives and motivates people is the key to being an effective human resources leader.
In addition to being a former chair of the BSA Human Resources Committee and a former Trustee of the BSA Foundation Board, Jess has also done volunteer work in India and was Director of Personnel for Earthwatch.
She was born in Berlin, speaks Italian and French, and studied in Rome for her BA in Italian Studies from Connecticut College.
