From CBS News Sunday Morning, “Rita Braver talks to the author of the best-selling book in the nation: Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. It turns out, cartoonist Jeff Kinney’s success story is a tale worthy of its own work of fiction.”
Bergmeyer has been working with author Jeff Kinney on a new community building in Plainville. The project at 111 South Street is a catalyst for the local community. The bookstore, café, and community event space will be invaluable assets in bringing a sense of pride and a sense of place back to the Town of Plainville. The design of the building is evocative of a true New England civic structure and inspired by Falk’s Market, old world general stores, and residential architecture.
The new building is speeding toward completion and is expected to be open in the spring.
