In our second annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report, we reflect on our efforts over the past year to practice Bergmeyer's core beliefs while celebrating the significant growth and changes our collaborative experienced in 2023.
We are proud of our accomplishments this past year, and we are eager to keep up the momentum. As Bergmeyer continues to evolve as an exemplary design collaborative, we are resolved to find more ways to connect, collaborate, explore, and especially MEASURE with boldness and curiosity in all four of our focus areas.
True collaboration – the open, respectful exchange of ideas – does more than simply produce better design thinking. It connects people, builds trust, and promotes a sense of belonging. By sharing the joy of the creative process, we empower others. Bergmeyer believes in leveraging the power of interpersonal connection to improve the human experience, the quality of people's lives, and the world in which we live.
We are committed to using the resources of our organization to enrich and strengthen our communities, to support organizations that advance equity and social justice, to help mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis, and to create opportunities for young people to explore careers in design.
"This second annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report describes what we accomplished in 2023 as we use the resources of our organization to enrich and strengthen our communities, to support organizations that advance equity and social justice, to help mitigate and adapt to the climate crisis, and to create opportunities for young people to explore careers in design. I am especially pleased to announce that in 2023, in partnership with Parallel Sustainability LLC, we launched Bergmeyer+, a consultancy collaboration dedicated to empowering retailers to make a positive difference in the world through sustainable practices. The Bergmeyer+ effort once again puts our collaborative design practice on the leading edge of a multi-industry evolution toward a more sustainable world."
