What motivated you to become a designer (or current role?)?

The greatest motivation to continue on in this field of work is the joy I see from my clients when the project is complete. Most times, the client can’t see the end result until it’s complete and when that happens and when what was once a concept drawing comes to life – the awe and happiness from them makes it all worth it. We design and create spaces for people to enjoy and come together and through design we are able to connect people with places and create lasting memories.

What does successful workplace culture mean to you?

A successful workplace culture means a collaborative space in which we respect one another. These days everything can be criticized – style, design, politics, religious beliefs, etc. But when we are able to listen, acknowledge one other’s opinion and remain respectful and kind - that’s a successful workplace culture.

What would you be doing if you were not working in this industry?

If I wasn’t in this industry, I’d have a restaurant and/or bakery. Just like creating spaces, food brings people together and it’s still fun and creative!

What is the first site or app you visit every morning?

Instagram – need my daily dose of memes to start my day with a laugh.

What are your top three travel destinations?

Greece, Scotland and Spain

What's your Kryptonite?

Ice cream. I’ll never say no.

What was your best Halloween costume?

Halloween 2015 - Britney Spears’ Hit Me Baby One More Time music video outfit. Thank you private high school for the skirt that brought this costume to perfection.

What's your favorite season?

Fall! Summer is great and all, but there’s nothing better than those first fall days after a blistering hot Boston summer.
