What motivated you to become a designer (or current role?)?

I’ve wanted to be an architect as far back as I can remember. I always enjoyed playing with Legos and Lincoln Logs and would build communities and streets throughout my parent’s house. Through the years I’ve developed an interest in sustainable communities and learning how we can use architecture as a catalyst for sparking positive change in communities by gaining a better understanding of the context, people, and history of a place.

When you are retired and look back on your life, what is the biggest accomplishment you hope to achieve?

I hope to have made a positive impact on my colleagues and community.

What would you be doing if you were not working in this industry?

I’ve always been fascinated by maps and understanding my physical place in the world- I like to think that I’d be working for Google Maps, maybe driving the “street view” car around the world!

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

Becoming a registered Architect

Where do you feel most at home?

Wherever my family and friends are

What valuable lesson did you learn from your parents?

Do what you like, Like what you do

What’s your most powerful characteristic?

My optimism

What are your top three travel destinations?

Firenze, Santorini, Disney World

What was your first job?

Planting flowers at my parents’ florist and greenhouses

What is the strangest question you have ever been asked in an interview?

If you could be any animal, what would you be and why? My response - I’d be a Panda, because I’m cute and cuddly.
