What motivated you to become a designer (or current role?)?
I was drawn to hospitality design early on in my design education, specifically restaurants. To be able to create a sort of escape for people, a space where you only spend a short amount of time – even if it was just for dinner – was to me the ultimate creative challenge.
If you had to pick one word that best represents Bergmeyer's culture, what would it be, and why?
Inclusive. Everyone’s ideas are welcome at the table and very much so encouraged.
Do you have a talent (outside of being your talented self at Bergmeyer) that you are proud of? What would you be doing if you were not working in this industry?
I love to sing and think I’m halfway decent at it. If I wasn’t flexing my creative muscles as a designer I think I would have loved to be a part of the music industry.
In a parallel universe, what is your profession?
Definitely a pop star. Somewhere between Celine Dion, Christina Aguilera, and Sam Smith.
What was your first job?
My first paying job was a summer camp counselor. But my first desk job was at a life insurance company where I ran insurance quotes - talk about exciting!
What advice would you give your ten-year-old self?
Don’t be afraid to be yourself and to pursue your dreams
What was your best Halloween costume?
One year I dressed up as Steven Tyler. I had his signature scarf tied to a microphone, “Ma Kin” tattooed on my arm, and definitely didn’t make any friends that night with my singing.
What are your top three travel destinations?

Beer or Wine?
A bottle of your best Cab, please
What’s the strangest place you’ve ever visited?
